The Mockingbird, A Polite Guest
Poetry For Jesus
DownBurst Media
Every winter, without fail, a mockingbird appears
Chirping away, bringing cheers
I offer him raisins, his favorite treat
He looks at me with eyes so sweet
More, please, he seems to say
I oblige, it's become a daily buffet
Who knew I'd be a bird feeder in my own home
But hey, at least he doesn't overstay, he likes to roam
So here we are, me and my feathered friend
A routine of raisins, chirping, and laughter, until winter's end
The mockingbird, a polite guest indeed
Bringing joy and smiles, fulfilling my bird feeding need
