Every day, a Curve-billed Thrasher 
Visits my yard with a chirp and a hop 
Enjoying seeds and peanuts 
I leave out for its delight 

Its graceful movements mesmerize me 
As it flits around with ease 
Chirping happily, spreading joy 
In its simple, sweet melodies 

I watch in awe, feeling grateful 
For this connection with nature 
A daily dose of happiness 
In the form of a feathered friend 

I look forward to our visits 
And cherish the moments we share 
A reminder of the beauty 
That surrounds us everywhere
