Doubting Thomas

In John 20:24-28, a tale unfolds
Of Thomas, who doubted what he was told
The disciples claimed they had seen the Lord
But Thomas needed proof, he was not onboard

A week later, Jesus appeared once more
Despite locked doors, he entered the door
He spoke to Thomas, with love in his eyes
Inviting him to touch, to dispel his lies

Thomas felt the wounds, his doubt dissolved
"My Lord and my God" he joyfully resolved
This story teaches us a valuable lesson
Of faith and belief, in times of confession

Jesus' compassion, his understanding so deep
Led Thomas to conviction, his doubts to sleep
So let us remember, in moments of strife
To trust in the Lord, and embrace his life
