Jesus, thank you for the birds 
That flutter and sing in my yard 
Their melodies soothe my weary soul 
And bring me peace in times so hard 

Their colors brighten up my day 
Their freedom lifts my spirit high 
I see your love in every wing 
And feel your presence in the sky 

Thank you for this precious gift 
That brings me joy and solace too 
I'm grateful for their gentle ways 
And for the beauty that they brew 

So as I watch them fly and play 
I'm reminded of your grace 
Thank you, Jesus, for the birds
