The Roadrunner’s Sprint
Poetry For Jesus
DownBurst Media
As I strolled down the street one sunny day,
A Roadrunner sprinted past, in a playful way.
Its feathers ruffled in the gentle breeze,
Zipping by cacti and trees with such ease.
Long legs propelling it with incredible speed,
A sight so joyful, it made my heart heed.
In a hurry, its beady eyes focused ahead,
A reminder of nature’s beauty, so glad I was led.
Grateful for this moment, so fleeting and sweet,
A smile on my face, as I watched its swift feet.
The desert’s diversity, a sight to behold,
In the Roadrunner’s sprint, its story told.
