The White Pigeon

I found a white pigeon on the side of the road
It couldn't fly, but its beauty surely showed
This gift from above with soft feathers so pure
Gentle eyes that sparkled, of that I was sure

I felt a sense of wonder at its presence near
Grateful for the chance to care, no need for fear
I carefully picked it up, brought it home with glee
To nurse it back to health, happy as can be

Such a magnificent creature, a joy to behold
In my care, it would thrive, its story to be told
So here's to the white pigeon, a friend so dear
A reminder of love and kindness, always near
